Seller’s Notes: A French wrought iron hall tree, purchased from eBay about five years ago. From the 1920s. In the style of Edgar Brandt, who was an iron worker and furniture designer in Paris. (It could actually be an Edgar Brandt, but I couldn’t be sure.)
It’s really pretty, and a very cool sculptural piece, as well as useful. I love the swirls in the design. It has space for a mirror, and you can keep boxes or baskets on top for smaller items. (I used them for hats and gloves.) It has eight hooks to hand things on, and it has two umbrella holders toward the bottom. It’s very sturdy. One hook is a bit loose but since it is attached to my wall, I can’t get my hand behind it to tighten it. It was very easy to install–just a few screws into the wall.
I love this piece. Unfortunately, I live in a small apartment and don’t have a space for it where you can really step back and see it. I hope someone else can enjoy it.
Stieglitz print not included.
